Modul wurde von der amerikanischen Firma American Microsystems Inc. (AMI) entwickelt und trägt die Kaliberbezeichnung 606, das Display stammt von Ilixco (International Liquid Crystal Company). Gruen Teletime LCD watch. Modul developed by AMI (caliber 606), world´s first ever made LCD watch using field effect display, released in 1972. The first commercial product with a twisted nematic field effect LCD has an ILIXCO display (International Liquid Crystal Company) and uses a very early hand soldered module. The Teletime had just one function: telling time. The little knob on the right is used to adjust the time. The original price back in 1972 was an incredibly expensive $199.95
